September 22, 2020

The Lee County Visitor & Convention (VCB) won four SUNsational Awards for Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. It is the fourth year in a row the event has garnered awards.

The Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA) recently announced the 2020 winners of its annual SUNsational Awards. The organization recognizes Florida’s best and brightest for innovation, individuality and creative collaboration for event production.

The VCB won three first place awards for banners, mobile app and radio coverage. It earned a second place for its volunteer program that utilizes hundreds of locals to help run this mostly free event each fall.

Nominations were judged by a blue ribbon panel of 54 judges representing media outlets, which included industry leaders and social media experts.

The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest will return Sept. 17-26, 2021, on Captiva Island, downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Check out all the details at www.island-hopper.fortmyers-sanibel.com.https://www.island-hopper.fortmyers-sanibel.com/
